It is of course possible to split up the trip between Loire and Burgundy. It is only a 3-4-hour drive. Here is a first idea of a possibility. Please let me know if you think that could suit your clients, so that I can prepare a more detailed description. Do you already know the dates or the time period when this would take place ? This would be a luxury trip, chateaux accommodation (Château La Tortinière, Château de Marcay, Château du Rivau, par example?) with focus on wine tasting, gastronomy (perhaps a cooking course), some special events, maybe private wine tasting, or time with a chef, markets. The canoeing sounds wonderful! For cycling, very limited, perhaps 1-2 hours, easy route. With maybe 1-2 days without cycling. Can you please send me a general itinerary, for 5-7 days Loire? Do you think 3-4 days in the Loire, and 2-3 days in Burgundy is too rushed, or should they stay only in the Loire? Also, please send initial pricing – a rough cost is fine. I look forward to hearing from you. Usually for leisurely tourist, who are looking for a luxury trip we strongly recommend the Loire Valley tour. It offers a good insight in French culture with amazing and world-known castles, wine tasting and good cuisine. The accomodation are in castles, manors or very nice **** hotels with gourmet dinners. I would recommend the tour starting in Blois and ending in Saumur for a good insight in the region. This way all important castles are covered up, the tour passes in very different wine regions, you can see the cave house culture and visit important medieval cities. We have a fantastic guide, who accompany the clients all week long and has a very good knowledge about the region, but what we sometimes do for clients looking for a deep historical insight is to book private conference tour in the castle. We will also include wine tastings, cave visits and local food tastings. We can also include a day of canoeing to have a new view of the Loire Valley. Please inform me if this could suit your expectation and your budget line, so that I can present you a tailored-made tour suiting exactly your needs.
