Rural cycling on the newly-built highway in the central highlands

While we continually alter and modify our tours, this is the first new tour we have offered in many years. Don't blame us, rather it has been a lack of road building by the Vietnamese government (always blame the government we say). However, to their credit, the government has stuck with their plans to build a road through the scenic central highlands running the length of the country, following near the famous war-era Ho Chi Minh Trail (actually a network of trails). The "Ho Chi Minh Highway" is being rapidly completed and by next summer will be largely finished, at least in the sections we will be cycling on.

If you're looking for adventure in Vietnam, this is it! The route will pass through new areas most tourists have not traveled to. Hilltribes inhabit much of the region and we expect light traffic, an abundance of interesting scenery and historical sites. These initial tours will be limited to six persons, so we recommend you reserve early.
